Tourism Work Ready Program

The Tourism Work Ready Program provides career preparation and skill-building opportunities for unemployed individuals from underrepresented groups. Participants will gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to successfully transition into the workforce within Saskatchewan’s hospitality and tourism sector.

Priority Consideration

Priority will be given to individuals from underrepresented groups, including:

  • Indigenous peoples

  • Newcomers to Canada

  • Persons with disabilities

  • Vulnerable women (single parents, middle-aged, low income, etc.)

  • Be between 16 and 30 years of age

Eligibility Requirements

To register for the program, applicants must:

  • Be legally entitled to work in Saskatchewan

  • Be able to commit to 45 hours of in-person and online training

  • Have an interest to work in the hospitality sector.

Training takes place over two weeks, with additional days for mentoring and support.
