Join us for YWCA Prince Albert’s first-ever Golf Tournament Fundraiser in support of a bold, community-changing project.
The proceeds from this tournament will help us develop and build twenty new affordable housing units for single adults, couples, and single parents with infants who are at risk of homelessness. Each home won’t just provide a roof overhead — they’ll come with personalized supports to help residents stay housed and thrive. That might include help with obtaining and maintaining work, parenting support, access to mental health or wellness services, and someone to walk alongside when life gets tough.
Because safe housing is just the beginning. Everyone deserves the chance to build a stable, healthy, and connected life.
This isn’t just about building a building — it’s about creating safety, dignity, and opportunity for people who need it most. By golfing, sponsoring, or donating, you’re helping open doors for families and individuals on the edge of housing loss.
Let’s come together to drive change, one swing at a time.

About Our Affordable Housing Complex
We are developing a twenty-unit affordable housing complex to provide safe, stable housing for low-income singles, couples, and single parents with a child who are at risk of homelessness. The complex will feature a mix of one-bedroom and bachelor units, and support services to help tenants improve their quality of life and become self-sufficient. All fundraising proceeds will support the success of this project — helping ensure the spaces, services, and supports are in place to give residents the stability, dignity, and opportunity they deserve.
The Need
Access to affordable housing is a growing challenge in our community. Rising costs and limited availability of safe housing have left many individuals and families struggling to secure stable accommodations.
• Several individuals and families in our community are housing insecure.
• Low-income individuals without stable employment face significant barriers to maintaining housing.
• Without proper support, many individuals remain at high risk of homelessness and unstable living conditions.
There is a clear need for not only affordable housing but also integrated support services to help vulnerable individuals secure long-term stability and independence.
The Solution
Our project will address these challenges by developing a 20-unit affordable housing complex, designed to support individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
• 20 units — A mix of one-bedroom and bachelor units.
• Inclusive target group — Singles, couples, and single parents with a child on low-income.
• Complementary support services — Partnering with the Community Connection Centre (CCC) to provide tenants with access to:
o Employment training and job placement services
o Skills development programs
o Education and financial literacy workshops
o Community, mental health and wellness resources
This project will empower tenants to improve their financial independence, secure employment, and maintain long-term housing stability by combining stable housing with targeted support.
The Impact
This project will create long-term positive outcomes for tenants and the broader community:
• Increased housing stability: Tenants will have a secure and affordable place to call home.
• Improved employment outcomes: Access to job training and skills development will increase employability.
• Enhanced quality of life: Stable housing combined with supportive services will improve mental health and overall well-being.
• Community connection: Common areas will foster a sense of belonging and peer support among tenants.
This project will not only address immediate housing needs but also equip tenants with the tools to build more secure and independent futures.
