“Welcome home” is a phrase that means comfort and safety, and sometimes we don’t realize how important those two words are. The Welcome Home Initiative is a campaign to raise funds to assist refugees arriving in Prince Albert to integrate and thrive. Our goal is to ensure that individuals and families who originate from countries ravaged by war, poverty, and persecution feel at home in our community. To achieve this goal, we need your help!

We need to hire a new staff member to assist newcomers with technological literacy (most have never used a computer in their lives), and facilitate activities to introduce them to Prince Albert and Canada. Your donation funds a new staff member, as well as activities that help introduce refugees to the Canadian way of life and prepare them to be a productive member of our community. Any amount is a step closer to achieving our goal.
